About Us

Well, what’s to say, my partner & I have two beautiful children (Savannah Sky and Keagan Kye) and our wonderful horses & dogs. We live in the gorgeous & peaceful Summerveld Area of Kwa-Zulu Natal on our little farm Elysian Fields.

We do have one small problem though, I live for my horses and he lives for his off road motor biking, which as you can imagine, is a huge conflict of interest (horses and machines just don’t gel well together). Nevertheless, we live happily and in harmony (most of the time).

My dreams and ambitions are to breed good quality Arabians with excellent temperaments. I grew up on a stud farm and have been exposed to horses most of my life. As a child, my mother bought me a beautiful young Arabian colt (Shaherizad Ibrahim (Ibies) sired by Sha Jahan himself). I adored this horse and as a youngster myself, the two of us were thick as thieves. We bonded like there was no tomorrow, I often slept in his stable and we were never seen apart. We used to play hide & go seek together – yes, you read right, we played hide & go seek. I would tell Ibies to go and hide and off he’d gallop while I waited, only to go and stand behind a tree (cause if he couldn’t see me – I couldn’t see him – never mind the fact that his entire body was standing in the open, his face was behind the tree you know, so I obviously couldn’t see him). Anyway, I humored him and pretended to look for him, and when I “eventually” found him, I would give him a huge fright and he would rear up and gallop off again, playfully bucking and farting and go and hide again behind the next tree.

Anyone who has ever been exposed to the amazing breed of Arabian would know that they are highly intelligent, loyal, and usually bond with one person only. Anyway, that was years ago, I have never had another Ibies, I have never been fortunate enough to find a horse that special… until now. My kids are older now (5 & 3), and I decided to re-explore the option of breeding again. I searched high & low for my stallion and then, there it was, I found Elysian – whose grandsire just happened to be Sha Jahan!  I was ecstatic!  I thought if I could get a clone of Ibies, that would make me the happiest person alive.  I went to see him and was instantly in-love – he was a replica of my Ibies, same eyes, same attitude, same conformation, same temperament, same everything. I bought him immediately.

We have bonded very well together and he has already met my every expectation of him, which are quite high I’ll have you know. So now, we’re busy putting together our mares, of which we have just purchased a beautiful one… EKS Amazing. Damien, my partner is into his off road motor sport as mentioned, so between our careers, kids, horses, dogs and motor sport (note I put motor sport last), we are a very busy, but very happy little family.
